SESRIC and OECD Exchange Perspectives on Sustainable Development at ADF 2026

Date: 18 April 2026
Venue: Antalya - Türkiye

On the margins of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) 2026, H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Andreas SCHAAL, Director for Global Relations and Co‑operation at the Organisation for Economic Co‑operation and Development (OECD).

The meeting focused on opportunities for joint projects and initiatives within the framework of South‑South cooperation, with an emphasis on areas of common work and shared development priorities. In this context, ongoing cooperation between SESRIC and the OECD was noted, including SESRIC’s engagement within the TOSSD International Task Force, which aims to strengthen the measurement and transparency of resources supporting sustainable development. The meeting also recalled SESRIC’s close collaboration with PARIS21, particularly in advancing statistical development and strengthening national data systems in OIC countries.

The exchange further reflected on the OECD’s broader engagement with partner countries through policy dialogue, analytical work, and peer‑learning mechanisms, as well as its cooperation with non‑member economies, including OIC countries.

Additionally, it was noted that SESRIC will participate in the upcoming OECD Skills Summit, scheduled to be held in Istanbul on 27–28 April 2026, providing a further opportunity for institutional engagement and exchange on skills development, human capital, and inclusive growth.
