H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Abdulaziz ALADWANI, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Türkiye, at the Embassy of Kuwait in Ankara. The visit aimed to further explore potential areas of cooperation with a particular focus on strengthening the institutional and human capacities of Kuwait’s national institutions.

During the meeting, H.E. SELÇUK highlighted SESRIC’s mandate as a subsidiary organ of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and its long-standing commitment to supporting member countries through evidence-based research, technical cooperation, and targeted capacity-building programmes. She underscored that, to date, SESRIC has successfully implemented more than 120 capacity-building activities benefiting over 300 participants from various public institutions in the State of Kuwait. In this regard, she reaffirmed SESRIC’s readiness to further tailor its programmes in line with Kuwait’s national development priorities and institutional needs.

Both sides exchanged views on prospective avenues for future cooperation, including the organisation of specialised training programmes, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives in collaboration with relevant Kuwaiti national institutions. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening institutional ties and advancing mutually beneficial cooperation in support of sustainable development objectives within the OIC framework.
