Within the framework of its Social Development Capacity Building Programme (SD-CaB), SESRIC, in collaboration with the Centre for Family and Aging Studies of the University of Respati Indonesia (URINDO), organised a Webinar on "Promoting Sustainable Growth in the Dynamic World for Ageing Population: Strategies for Older Person’s Empowerment in Emerging Economies" on 22 July 2025 through an online video conferencing platform.

The webinar brought together 213 experts, policymakers, scholars, and practitioners from 27 OIC countries to engage in insightful discussions on effective strategies for social development and capacity building towards empowering the aging population.

The webinar covered the following topics:

• Inclusive Policies for Sustainable Poverty Alleviation in Indonesia: Addressing Aging Population
• Older Person Empowerment, toward Second Demography Dividend
• Older persons’ empowerment through lifelong education: Sustainability program and involvement
• Lessons Learned from Indonesia Ramah Lansia, West Java Chapter
